Join our fundraiser for Ojai’s Equine Sanctuary by submitting your equine artworks on February 3rd from 10-1pm at the Ojai Center for the Arts, located at 113 S. Montgomery Street. An artist reception to follow on February 5th from 1-3pm with cash awards judged by equine art collector and prestigious Ventura gallery owner/consultant, Sylvia White.

All media, and ready for hanging with wire, no saw tooth hangers and framed or gallery wrapped canvases accepted and maximum size 48″ x 48″ and less than 60lbs.

$15 for 1, $30 for 2 and $40 for 3 submitted pieces for Center members. Non-members may purchase one month membership for $10 or year membership for $35. All works must be available for sale with the Center receiving a 30% commission and part of the Center commission with be donated to the Equine Sanctuary. Wow, one show, two awards!
I’m so pleased “Blue Bolt” one fire ceramic created at Beatrice Wood’s Center for the Arts one First Prize at the Ojai Valley Museum of Art through December 31st. And “Gold Rush” painting won an Honorable Mention. This has sparked quite a bit of interest and here are a few editorials for more details.

Created in Beatrice Wood’s Ojai studio and on exhibit at the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts as part of the “Ojai Visions” exhibition with over 50 Ojai Studio Artists..

A retrospective of Wood’s artworks are on exhibit at the Santa Monica Museum of Art through March in conjunction with the Pacific Standard Time Project.

Sylvia White Gallery - Be A Saint - Art Auction

I am happy to invite you to participate in the juried art auction that will take place at the Sylvia White Gallery, Sunday, February 13, 6-9pm. You can click here to see the pieces that have been selected for the entire show. There was over 400 applications, double what they received last year. Tickets are priced at $50 each or $75 per couple and can be purchased directly from the ArtAdvice.com website.

There are some incredible bargains. Including my rendition of the original painting “Gold Rush”, with a retail market value of $3,400. The mixed media rendition on canvas is set at a Sylvia White $1,200 sale price. The mixed media 30″x48″ on canvas rendition of “Gold Rush” is available upon request for $1,500. Each piece is a unique one of a kind work of art with slight variations.

Work will be available for preview during regular gallery hours, Wednesday - Saturday, 11-5pm at Sylvia White Gallery, 1783 East Main Street. Ventura, CA 93001. Bidding will start WEDNESDAY 2/9 and phone bids will be accepted until Saturday at 5pm. After that time, only live bids may be placed at the event Sunday 2/13 until 8:00pm. The ArtAdvance winner will be drawn at 8:30 sharp.
